Interesting, astute analysis. I would just add that the 17 year old Rowland had little in him of the annoyingly self-conscious desire to piss off the “normals” that you hear in interviews with punk musicians and fans back then. He’s out of step with society but is so because his sensibilities are so different. It’s not just a phase.

This whole album changed my life, love all of these wonderful musicians so much. Rowlands work has inspired me beyond recognition and Im a fan of everything hes written or featured on. Nikki, epic, and Jeffrey Lee are insanely talented and I think their work is so unique and beautiful. Jeremy glucks way of telling stories is remarkable, this (and everything he's done) is a masterpiece. Love this!

It is like all their stuff disappeared. Hands down the loudest band I have seen in a club. Not even a close second. Hope Jake and co are doing well.
